Job Summary:

Join our team of employees at Broan, as a Punch Press Operator in the Fabrication Department, and have the opportunity to grow in the role as your skills increase, whether you are an experienced operator, or a new operator! In this role you will operate equipment to build the structures needed to create our products that improve indoor air quality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Follow safety policies and proactively identify safety improvements.
  • Job duties include the setup, adjustment and operation of all size Punch Presses from 60 ton to 330 ton, progressive tooling and stationary single stroke.
  • Use computer system to access Work Instructions and control plans for quality check intervals.
  • Distinguish material types between Aluminum, Cold Rolled, Stainless Steel and Galvanized.
  • May perform other duties in other areas of facility when workload dictates.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience is not needed, must be willing and motivated to learn.
  • Self-starter, motivated to learn new equipment, is coachable and dependable with good attendance.
  • Follow directions and established processes consistently.
  • Meet performance standards and expectations of assigned work or daily tasks.
  • Effective use of all measurement tools including; micrometers, calipers, checking fixtures, height gauge and other various measurement tools to ensure quality of part.
  • Basic Math skills to calculate precise dimensions needed to make a quality part.
  • Learn and understand blueprints and comprehension of work center dispatch assignments.
