Job Title: Press Operator Location: Columbiana, OH Shifts: Work a swing shift schedule, including both day and afternoon shifts. Day shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Afternoon shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday. $1.50 shift differential for afternoon shift. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating both manual and automatic cycle dies/presses to manufacture products.
- Machine Setup: Set up and remove dies from presses, perform interchangeable setup within the die as required for different products.
- Material Handling: Load coils or other raw materials into the equipment, operate a forklift to transport materials as needed.
- Alignment and Adjustment: Align and adjust feeders, straighteners, and stops to ensure smooth press and die operation.
- Quality Control: Make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 80 pounds as part of daily tasks.
Overtime: Be prepared for possible overtime and Saturdays as needed to meet production demands. Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Press Operator or in a similar manufacturing role desirable.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with operating manual and automatic cycle dies/presses, ability to set up and remove dies, and make necessary adjustments.
- Forklift Certification: Possess a valid forklift operator's certification if required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work both day and afternoon shifts, overtime, and Saturdays when necessary.
