: Job Details :

* Reviews job tickets for specifications and any customer or special instructions. * Follows all standard operating procedures relevant to job, position and department. * Verifies all plates are correct for the job with proper copy and markings. * Mounts printing plates in the proper sequence and print unit. * Fills ink fountains with the proper ink which correlates with the proper printing plate. * Hangs coater blanket. * Changes coating to the coating required for the job. * Loads paper into the feeder. * Places waste pallet in the delivery. * Runs paper through the press to begin the process of registration of the units (printing plates) to one another. * Ensures that registration is achieved before receiving approval to begin running. * Loads paper into the continuous feeder keeping the press running. * Monitors press sheet throughout run to ensure quality meets the customer specifications. * Reads sheet with spectrophotometer per sampling requirement. * Maintains ink fountain levels, powder levels, coatings, fountain solution, as well as needed supplies at press. * Verifies correct count at completion of run needed to satisfy customer quantity requirements. * Completes line clearance procedures and documentation. * Completes wash up procedures. * Performs preventative maintenance per manufacturers specification. * Discusses and ensures that all job status and issues are thoroughly communicated to the on-coming shift. * Observes all safety rules and procedures. * Keeps work area organized, neat, and clean. * Performs other job duties as assigned. Job Requirements * Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, job tickets, and procedural manuals. * Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. * Minimum 3 years experience in a sheet fed shop on multicolor equipment. * Must be able to decipher color variance. Will be required to have color blindness Munsell 100 testing. * Must be able to read a tape measure. * Must have basic computer skills-computer inputs. * Must have mechanical aptitude and understanding of printing process.
