Job Description:

- Understanding and proper application of all safety rules, regulations and procedures including proper personal protective equipment and safe manufacturing practices - Maintain all company health and housekeeping standards - Review production order to determine proper raw materials needed for production - Makes recommendations and works with Supervisor to ensure machinery and equipment are in safe and efficient operating condition -Ability to work in a team environment - Ability to read and understand work orders or schedule to determine product specifications and materials requirements - Verifies substrate, ink, plate and cylinder sizes meet specifications - Consistent monitoring and evaluation the quality of printed material is in conformance to specifications and artwork - Follows production schedule while being proactive in making recommendation to changes in the schedule - Meets or exceeds performance goals to ensure scheduled attainment - Monitors, identifies and communicates quality, maintenance, raw material and other related issues that could or have negatively impacted line performance - Provides cross-training to other employees ensuring department personnel can obtain skills and knowledge necessary to successfully perform duties and responsibilities of job - Executes and ensures adherence to Company personnel policies and procedures - Inputs all necessary information into the Radius ERP system to help monitor production - Effectively utilizes the Radius ERP system to obtain necessary information to run production orders Performs other related work as required, including: -Making corrections to avoid expensive losses of paper and ink. - Change plates, sleeves/cylinders, anilox and ink chambers -Adjust ink fountain flow rates -Adjust equipment controls to regulate flow of production materials -Load substrate onto equipment, web through press cylinders, adjusting unwind/rewind tension controls and aligning printing plates as needed -Clean printing unit cylinders, plates and ink fountains at the completion of each press run or immediately upon an ink spill - Supports and promotes SQF process -Monitor environmental factors, such as humidity and temperature, that may impact equipment performance and make necessary adjustments Job Requirements - Effective in completion of multi-faceted projects in conjunction with daily activities -Ability to effectively interact with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible. -Ability to lift ~50 lbs. without assistance and on a frequent basis -Excellent verbal/written communication skill -Capable to work with limited supervision - Resourceful and well organized - Ability to establish credibility and be decisive while recognizing and supporting the organization s preferences and priorities - Results-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations
