**Job Title: Press Operator****Job Description**Join Our Team as a Press Operator!About the Role: Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our dynamic team. This position offers a competitive pay range and rotating shifts to provide flexibility and variety in your work schedule.Pay:+ $20-$29 per hour (can go up to $34 per hour)+ 5% shift differential for 2nd shiftShifts Available:+ **1st Shift:** 6am-6pm (rotating)+ **2nd Shift:** 6pm-6am (rotating)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:+ **Daily Production:** Follow the daily press schedule to meet production needs.+ **Documentation:** Accurately record activities in required documentation and daily log books.+ **Setup & Reports:** Set up machines and record run condition reports for each job completed.+ **Tool Use:** Safely use all necessary tools to set up each job efficiently and with minimal waste.+ **Order & Artwork:** Read and understand customer orders and artwork.+ **Tracking:** Track all setup, downtime, and run time using Axapta or shop floor systems.+ **Material Processing:** Scan and process all materials going on and coming off the machine.+ **Efficiency:** Run orders quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality.+ **Quality Monitoring:** Mark or flag all press stops, splices, and misprints during the run and keep an accurate flag report for each roll.+ **Defect Management:** Remove and properly dispose of all flying splices and defects on the rewind position or master roll.+ **Print Quality:** Monitor print quality using the auto defect detection system (AVT SYSTEM).+ **Cleanliness:** Maintain the cleanliness of the press and the surrounding area.+ **Mechanical Issues:** Report any mechanical issues encountered during the shift.+ **Preparation:** Prepare and direct the press assistant in staging the next job.+ **Training:** Help train and teach responsibilities to others as needed.Skills and Abilities Required:+ **Experience:** Specific experience with flexographic wide web machines.+ **Product Layout:** Ability to grasp and understand product layout sheets and read artwork.+ **Quality Understanding:** Understand the difference between good and bad print based on provided materials (ARTWORK, PLS, WO, SEPARATIONS, and COLOR MASTER FOLDER).+ **Quality Checklist:** Clear understanding of how to use the quality checklist and its importance.+ **Spectro Densitometer:** Must understand how to use the spectro densitometer.+ **Digital Workflow:** Clear understanding of the company's digital workflow.+ **Wide Web Flexographic Printing:** Experience in wide web flexographic printing.Employee Value Proposition (EVP):+ **Union Benefits:** Multiple tiers for each role with the potential for higher pay as you progress.+ **Growth Opportunities:** Rapid growth with the addition of 4 new lines.+ **Comprehensive Benefits:** Medical Insurance (Aetna), HSA, FSA, Dental Insurance (Sun Life), Vision Insurance (Sun Life), Disability Insurance (Sun Life), Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Employee Assistance Program (Curalinc), Legal/Identity Insurance (MetLaw), Identity Theft Protection, Omada Lifestyle Change Program, Pet Insurance.+ **Work Environment:** Cleanroom environment with areas housing larger presses.Business Challenge: These positions are open due to rapid growth and the addition of new production lines.
