Description Position at Keystone Powdered Metal Company Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for an experienced full-time Press Operator who will be working in our Cherryville, NC location. This person will be reporting into the Production Supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities - To efficiently and safely operate equipment, including the making of satisfactory adjustments to ensure product quality.
- To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.
- Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information.
- Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained fromits use to insure continuation of control conditions
- Provide active input to continuous process improvement.
- Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors, service areas and others with a need to know.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
- Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.
Qualifications - Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
- Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
- Mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
- Able to write legible sentences
- Understand and apply SPC fundamentals
The base salary range for this position is $18/hour to $22.00/hour. Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
