SummaryThis position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the OFFSET/LEPE Printing Division, Western Currency Facility. As a Pressman Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining technical and administrative control of all aspects of the operation(s) assigned - ensuring that quality control is performed in accordance with established BEP QMS Policies and Procedures and equipment manufacturer's specifications for operation, maintenance, and service.Learn more about this agencyThis job is open to* Internal to an agencyCurrent federal employees of this agency.Clarification from the agencyAll candidates who are: (1) Current Bureau of Engraving and Printing employees who are qualifying as Status Eligibles or currently serving on a permanent Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA) (2) CTAP eligiblesDutiesAs a Pressman Supervisor, you will:* Plans, schedule, and coordinate work operations including assigning, directing, and reviewing, through subordinate assistant supervisors or personally, the work of subordinates and evaluating their work performance.* Resolve problems and troubleshoot issues related to the work supervised and determine materials and equipment necessary to complete the currency order and the printing of other securities.* Ensure that equipment is maintained and in a productive state, all consumable material is available, and appropriate staffing levels are met to meet mission requirements.* Prepare reports and advise the area operations manager regarding manufacturing equipment, processes, and personnel.* Communicate with employees and union representatives regarding employee suggestions, complaints, grievances as well as perform a variety of administrative and other duties as assigned by the area operations manager.RequirementsConditions of Employment* A recruitment incentive may be offered.* A one-year probationary period may be required.* A one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.* Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.* Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.* Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.* If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.* Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
