Second Press Operator is responsible for assisting the Press Operator with make readies, press equipmentoperations, performing quality control functions.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist Pressperson with make-ready and operate press based upon written instructions providedInsures each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlinesVerify that stock and inks match job specs on ticketRead and understand job tickets for stock and color specificationsPerform press make ready, folder set ups, maintain press register and colorPerform quality pull sheet procedures according to Orora press SOP'sEnsure samples are pulled and labeled according to Orora press SOPFollow all safety policies and regulations.Assists in performing routine maintenance on the press with the press team members as requiredPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation, Skills, Experience & Abilities:High school diploma or equivalentMust have a minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience as a Second Press OperatorAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressureAbility to work independently as well as with a crew/teamMust be able to work nights and weekends as neededAbility to lift to 50 pounds occasionallyPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a production environment.
