Department: Payroll FLSA: ExemptLocation: Corporate Summary: This position requires professional training and a high level of understanding of prevailing wages The ideal candidate must have expert-level knowledge of the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) and New York City Office of the Comptroller's (NYCOC) Prevailing Wage Laws and regulations. The position handles all administrative responsibilities for multiple prevailing wage jobs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs: Process weekly prevailing wage payroll in online tracking platforms to ensure compliance. Independently identify and resolve all compensation matters in regard to the payroll processing including but not limited to prevailing wage, manual checks, certified payrolls, audits, and inquiries Work with branch office administration in the day-to-day administration of prevailing wage payroll processing of timecards. Keep accurate calculations of prevailing wage rates. Assist and communicate with Managers and Project Managers in complying with various prevailing wage contract requirements. Partner and communicate with payroll personnel for allocation of correct rates, fringes, reporting classifications and holiday schedules.Requirements Qualification/Requirements: MUST HAVE Experience with Prevailing wage/ Public work compliance (Certified payroll, LCP Tracker, Elations, Points North) and reporting of hours. 5 years' experience in complex payroll processing for approximately 150+ employees (at a minimum) experience working with Paylocity time and attendance is a plus but not required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to multi-task BA or BS Degree or equivalent experienceSalary Description 65,000.00 per year
