We are currently seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician Assistant to support the optimal performance and longevity of our equipment through proactive maintenance practices.Your Role: Supporting Equipment PerformanceAs a Preventative Maintenance Technician Assistant at Emery Sapp & Sons, you will play a vital role in assisting with the maintenance of our fleet of construction equipment. Your focus on preventive maintenance will help minimize downtime, reduce repair costs, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.Responsibilities:
  • Assist in performing routine inspections and maintenance on construction equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Aid in identifying and reporting potential issues to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
  • Assist in conducting fluid checks, lubrication, filter replacements, and other preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan.
  • Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts used, repairs completed, and maintenance schedules.
  • Support equipment operators and mechanics to prioritize maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment problems and performing minor repairs as needed under supervision.
  • Support other maintenance initiatives and projects as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in equipment maintenance preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a related role, preferably in preventive maintenance or a construction environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications and maintenance software.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
