Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Maintenance Technicians must have a can-do attitude in their support of operation and repairing any problems they discover before they have a chance to worsen and ensure that the facilities are always safe and functional.
Essential Functions
* Proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment while understanding health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
* Must be safety conscious and understand/follow OSHA, EPA, and other regulation procedures
* Support and follow the Lock Out/Tag Out program
* Address potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
* Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, facility, and grounds including basic plumbing, heating, wiring, and construction
* Change oils, filters, motors, and belts following outlined disposal guidelines
* Perform full system cleanouts, die swaps, roll changes, and die cleanings
* Record daily/monthly tasks in Preventative Maintenance Workbook
* Regular cleaning, lubrication replacing parts, and equipment repairs
* Read/comprehend blueprints and specifications on various equipment
* Research and order parts as needed
* Assembly and install new equipment
* Perform basic welding tasks
* Assist technicians or mechanics as needed
* Maintain tools and equipment's use and organization
* Pass a comprehensive Powered Industrial Truck training and testing program in order to safely operate PIT's in the facility
* Retrieve and deliver rolls to storage locations using Powered Industrial Truck
* Work well with others and work cooperatively between shifts and departments in order to support all company related needs
* Additional duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
* Support and participate in plant improvement projects, reliability initiatives, and other key plant level initiatives
* Collaborate with team members, including designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met
* Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
* Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate off shift production needs
Position Requirements
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
2-3 Years previous experience in preventative machine maintenance
Aptitudes & Characteristics:
Excellent math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations
Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications
Ability to maintain focus and concentration working under the pressure of deadlines
Attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a variety of physical positions
