Every Ride Counts! POSITION STATEMENT: Exceptional Service. Everywhere. Every Time. If this resonates with you as an experienced Preventive Maintenance Technician look no further than RMA Worldwide. The PM Technician is responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on a variety of vehicles to ensure their optimal functionality and longevity. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Essential Functions.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on various types of vehicles, including buses, vans, and sedans.
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid level checks, and replacements as part of scheduled maintenance.
- Inspect brakes, suspensions, lighting, and electrical systems for wear or malfunction.
- Identify and report any safety concerns, potential issues, or necessary repairs.
- Document all work performed using fleet maintenance software and ensure accurate service records.
- Replace minor components such as air filters, belts, hoses, and batteries.
- Ensure all vehicles meet DOT (Department of Transportation) and company compliance requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA guidelines at all times.
- Support the maintenance team during major repairs or emergency breakdowns as needed.
Requirements Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components
Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation industry standards. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Basic computer skills to log maintenance activities in fleet management systems. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a high school certificate of graduation or its equivalent or a college degree.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
