Apply Now!● Qualifications/Requirements:In this position, you will serve as the Prevention Analyst at an Air Force installation. Under the direction of the Integrated Prevention Chief, the Prevention Analyst leads collection, analysis, interpretation, and visual implementation of data for the installation Integrated Resilience Office. Responsible for data management and routine analysis used in program evaluation and public health research within their community. Supports prevention partners, leadership, and the general population with understanding self-directed harm and prohibited abusive or harmful acts from a public health perspective and establishing a culture of prevention. Maintains consistent and reliable information to inform decision-making, strategies, policy, and program evaluation. Collaborates and integrates primary prevention efforts in areas such as sexual assault, family violence (incl. intimate partner violence and child abuse and neglect), workplace violence (incl. sexual harassment, bullying and hazing), suicide, and alcohol and substance use/abuse/misuse prevention.● Must be a U.S. Citizen● Must be able to obtain & maintain a “Secret” Security clearance● Must be able to obtain and maintain the required credentials for the position● Incumbent must meet screening/suitability criteria listed in Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Air Force (DAF) guidance.● Degree Requirements:Degree: At least a bachelor's degree in a behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.ORCombination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.ORFour years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.● Comprehensive and professional knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies as well as behavioral, social science and/or public health practices principles and theories relating to the prevention of violence and promotion of helping-seeking and resilience.● Thorough knowledge of a wide range of delivery systems relating to violence prevention and the multiple uses of such systems.● In-depth knowledge of DAF culture, military family dynamics, related professional fields, and a thorough knowledge of the DAF community and the unique challenges that DAF families face; or equivalent knowledge.● Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions to inform prevention efforts; ability to formulate and conduct assessments and evaluations to implement and monitor primary prevention plans.● Skill and ability to provide professional advisory services, develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques for prevention.● Ability to identify individual and community risk and protective factors in order to determine needed primary prevention activities to meet the needs of the base populace.● HIGHLY DESIRED:Knowledge and experience within primary prevention● Master's degree or higher in a behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.● Current Federal civilian employees may apply for this position and if selected, a break in service of at least 3 calendar days may be required prior to appointment to this position.● You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.● Your application package (resume, supporting documents) will be used to determine your eligibility, and qualifications.● Click the apply button to complete an application and upload resume (PDF or Word Doc) and/or additional documents (Transcripts, certifications, Vet Docs (DD214), SF-50).● To receive additional information about current and future job openings with AFCS via email notification, please subscribe at www.Afciviliancareers.com and sign up to “Get Career Updates.”● AFCS is Equal Opportunity Employer.
