Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with community-based coalitions to develop and implement substance use prevention strategies Provide technical assistance and training resources to enhance coalition capabilities Develop comprehensive community and coalition needs assessments Create and update strategic work plans to address local prevention priorities Coordinate and participate in prevention-focused training and resource networks Prepare and submit detailed monthly progress, billing, and data reports Support and participate in community education campaigns and prevention initiatives
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
Master's Degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration or a closely related field
OR Bachelor's Degree in the above fields with at least one (1) year professional experience in a social service agency
OR Associate's Degree with at least two (2) years of professional experience in a social service agency Must obtain Missouri Substance Abuse Prevention Associate (MSAPA) credential within six (6) months of hire Must attend Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST) within nine (9) months of hire
Additional Qualifications: Valid driver's license Acceptable driving record Current auto insurance Must pass background check including criminal record, driving record, and fingerprint check
Physical Requirements: Sedentary work involving occasional lifting up to 10 pounds Ability to sit for extended periods Capable of typing and writing during work shift Occasional walking and standing required
