As the Manager and Lead Packaging Estimator you will be at the forefront of estimating and planning for a diverse range of packaging products, including flexible packaging, stand-up pouches, folding cartons, and labels. Your role is crucial in shaping the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of our production processes.

Description
- Develop and refine cost estimates for packaging projects, focusing on flexible packaging, stand-up pouches, folding cartons, and labels.
- Analyze project specifications to determine the most efficient production methods and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure that estimates align with production capabilities and client requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in packaging technologies and materials.
- Work closely with the sales and client service teams to provide pricing support and ensure accurate and competitive quotes.
- Review historical data to refine estimating standards and improve accuracy.
- Participate in client meetings as needed to provide expertise and support for complex packaging projects.
- The candidate will also be responsible for learning commercial estimating; however, experience in this area is not required.
Profile
- Proven experience as an estimator or similar role within the packaging industry, with specific expertise in flexible packaging, stand-up pouches, folding cartons, and labels.
- Strong understanding of printing processes and packaging materials.
- Expertise in computers and database systems
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
- Proficient in relevant software, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Advanced degrees or certifications in related fields are advantageous.
- Spanish is a plus
