Position: Pricing Manager Department: Operations Strategic Support Reports To: Director, Strategic & Operational Analytics FLSA: Exempt Job Scope and Major Responsibilities:
- Support the RFP pricing process for all new bids. Respond to inquiries from Contracting, HUB Operations & Marketing in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain internal pricing models for all new bids and renewals. Present results to Director, Strategic & Operational Analytics, Manufacturer Relations and other stakeholders as needed.
- Develop and document standard assumptions (organizational structure, costs and fees) to be used in the pricing models to be reviewed and approved by the Director, Strategic & Operational Analytics, Executive VP of Operations and Manufacturer Relations.
- Establish an RFP pricing template with all information that is needed to complete pricing. It is to contain known information and where this information was obtained. It will also highlight model inputs that are assumptions if information cannot be provided.
- Whenever possible, update model assumptions by working with Finance, Payroll, Operations, time studies completed. Track changes to those assumptions for future reference
- Document the overall process for RFP pricing and review. Additionally, support the Communications Manager in documenting the process for the overall RFP process.
- For internal pricing models, maintain notes on any changes in assumptions and/or pricing
- Prepare and complete all financial worksheets for RFPs and Renewal bids.
- Build and maintain a new business pipeline model to reflect all confirmed and possible upcoming programs.
- Develop projections for value of new business, then monitor results to gain an understanding of missed projections to improve the projection model.
- Build trust and confidence. Develop partnerships. Open the door for hands on engagement with HUB Employees to directly monitor operations performance through hands on time studies. Maintain time study model for use in future pricing for new bids and renewals.
- Support the Manager/Director Financial Operations & Analytics in updating the models to review hub operations staffing and profitability by program as well as overall.
- Support the Manager/Director Financial Operations & Analytics in the review of hub invoices and monitoring of hub operations and profitability.
- Use the knowledge gained from these reviews to update the pricing model when necessary.
- Ability to work directly with senior management to review and present results of pricing models.
- Special projects, ad hoc analyses and other responsibilities as needed.
- Compliance with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and it's implementing regulations, as amended ( HIPAA )
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in healthcare finance, analytics and/or pricing
- Previous pharma and/or HUB experience preferred
- Strong PC skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook required
- Strong communication skills required
- Ability to work in a high paced environment
- Tableau skills preferred
