The Primary Care opportunity is at the Windsor clinic, though clinical duties may be split between the two primary care sitesdepending upon the candidate and patient need. The incoming physician will primarily have a practice focusing on adult medicine, with a heavy concentration of Medicare patients. Training should be in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (recognizing the pediatrics component will be small). The physician will work 36 clinical hours per week and provide outpatient call coverage. The call coverage obligation is between one week night every other week and 1:6 -1:8 weekends. The total patient panel for the practice is approximately 15,000 patients with room and demand to grow. The current patient volume is 15 per day however the support system is in place for a physician to see more than the average.
The Primary Care Practice's main location is on the campus of Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor with an additional and growing practice at the Ottauquechee Health Center in Woodstock (4 MD, 2 Associate Providers). Mt.
