Your Role and Responsibilities
Candidates must be familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and have the ability to interpret and apply IBM Accounting Practices and Policies. Professionals working in this area are involved in some or all of the following activities: accounting for complex business transactions, advising the business on technical accounting matters, financial reporting, and performing financial performance reporting and analysis.
CPA is preferred, and candidates should have a minimum of 6+ years of progressive accounting experience. Must be a self-starter who can work independently, coordinate with teams, and promptly support senior executives on technical accounting matters. This includes performing thorough accounting research in complex areas, providing significant influence on the resolution of technical accounting issues, formulating accounting practices and procedures, and providing advice to other professional accountants to ensure worldwide integrated application. The candidate must be able to prepare and review various footnotes for external filings independently.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
* Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, including leadership roles.
* Effective written and oral communication.
* Fluent in English.
