Job description: In your new role you will:- Supporting the new Ventures Business Unit and developing mission-critical IP and Chips using state-of-the-art techniques and tools
- Review the requirements of the particular analog circuit IP for which you are assigned (choices will include voltage and current references, clock oscillators / PLLs / DPLLs, buck /LDO regulators, high speed IO, temperature sensors, single and dual port SRAMs, ROMS, sense amplifiers)
- Complete a feasibility study on whether the requirements can be met, discuss with engineering management any issues and changes needed, and create a detailed specification for the IP
- Design and optimize the analog circuits to the final IP specifications and show compliance from circuit simulation results
- Work with the layout engineers to implement the circuits within the physical constraints
- Run post layout extracted simulations and make any adjustments as necessary to continue to meet the IP specifications
- Work with the various stakeholders to provide the different IP views that are required to be used for the design of the product which will use your IP
- Help the product and test engineers to validate and characterize you IP block to ensure that there are no design issues and all circuits are operating within specification.
- Document all results and complete various reviews in order to support the IP
Your Profile: You are best equipped for this task if you have:- MS in Electrical Engineering preferred, with an educational focus in either Analog, Circuit, or Mixed Signal Design
- 7-10 years of experience of integrated analog circuit design
- Expertise in CMOS circuit design and device physics
- Proficiency with advanced analog simulators and simulation techniques
- Experience with behavioral modeling of analog blocks and mixed signal verification
- Knowledge of physical design and parasitic extraction
- Proficiency with Cadence design tools/environment
- Experience with bench-level testing, wafer probing, and silicon debug
- Must have demonstrated ability to drive IP development from concept to silicon
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
