In this vital role you will be part of Amgen's Transformative Digital Capabilities (TDC) organization, which is a global process development function at the cutting edge of digital transformation in the biopharmaceutical industry. TDC provides thought leadership and differentiated capabilities in: digital threads for end-to-end data capture, integration, management, and analytics; digital twins from empirical, first principles, and hybrid modeling techniques for reduced experimentation and improved process performance; and platforming and stewardship of digital assets, technologies, and processes. The EDL product owner should lead a cross functional development team in partnership with multiple organizations and maintain the product backlog containing system enhancements and upgrades according to stakeholders' requests and to satisfy user requirements. Responsibilities include:Develop and execute a comprehensive product roadmap for the EDL, ensuring that product features and system enhancements are aligned with broader departmental and organizational goals, and deliver significant business value.Lead cross-departmental initiatives, overseeing Epics related to EDL enhancements, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment with strategic objectives across teams and regions.Serve as the senior escalation point for all product-related issues, proactively identifying and resolving medium- to high-impact challenges related to data integration, accessibility, and performance.Act as a key advisor to senior leadership, shaping policies and standards related to the digital transformation and analytics capabilities of the organization, and ensure adherence to GxP operations and SOP ownership.Provide advanced guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering cross-functional relationships and contributing to the development of teams by sharing expert knowledge on data utilization, visualization, and system operations.Regularly assess and incorporate feedback from both internal and external stakeholders, refining product offerings and driving adoption of new data technologies and platforms across the enterprise.Lead high-impact ART events, PI planning, and sprint reviews, ensuring that product release plans meet the strategic goals of the department and organization while aligning with broader business and scientific-technical plans.Drive the roadmap for integrating and applying the EDL in broader organizational data and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with evolving business requirements, and proactively finding opportunities for process improvements and innovation.Lead the integration of AI tools to automate data analysis, improve process efficiency, and identify trends or patterns that contribute to the continuous improvement of product development and operations.Objectives of this Role:Lead and guide cross-functional teams in the development and execution of the product vision, roadmap, and long-term growth opportunities for the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL), ensuring alignment with Process Development's strategic goalsCollaborate with senior stakeholders across the organization to drive data accessibility, usability, and analytics strategies that influence business outcomes, integrating insights from competitor practices and industry trends.Serve as a subject matter expert on digital transformation, data analytics, and data lake operations, shaping enterprise-level policies and driving innovation in data-driven decision-making.Maintain a forward-looking perspective on emerging data technologies, and agile methodologies, influencing and setting trends across the organization.Define and lead the continuous enhancement of the EDL platform, ensuring the integration of advanced analytics tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau) that align with evolving business and scientific-technical priorities.Define and lead the continuous enhancement of the EDL platform to enable Artificial Intelligence use casesWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
