JOB SUMMARY: The Digital Design Engineer designs and provides technical support on the development of new products and technologies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Design and lead the development of embedded processors, memory systems, power supply power management, and high speed digital interfaces.
- Design and lead the development using power management circuits, high automation test system development, strong analog and digital EE fundamentals.
- Responsible for schematic capture/layout/simulation.
- Develop using hands-on with prototype bring-up, test, debug, and common test equipment (oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, logic analyzers).
- Responsible for development in scripting/programming for test automation and data manipulation/analysis (LabVIEW, Python, Lua, Bash).
- Assist Sales, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality departments in resolving product issues, complaints, waiver requests, and in answering customer inquiries.
- Create or assist in documenting engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, and accompanying drawing packages for new / existing product, procedures, or tooling / fixtures.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering AND
- 5+ years of industry experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience interacting with contract manufacturing partners
- Familiarity with the challenges of development for high-volume manufacturing
- Familiarity with the challenges of development for high-volume manufacturing
- Excellent written and verbal communicator, consistent track record of working in a dynamic cross functional team
- Well organized and have the ability to be flexible in a changing work environment
- Basic knowledge of wireless standards and RF fundamentals
