Nesco Resource has partnered with their client in Naugatuck CT to identify a Principal Electrical Engineer. Please look over the job description below and submit your resume for consideration.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop and Enhanceelectro-mechanical systems.
  • Create electrical designs and specifications, including circuit diagrams, PCBA designs, terminal diagrams, and parts lists.
  • Build, commission, and optimize functional samples.
  • Execute and document design validation tests.
  • Prepare and maintain products for agency approvals.
  • Develop solutions up to the point of serial production.
  • Prepare detailed production documentation.
  • Create electrical specifications in 2D, including harness drawings.
  • Actively collaborate with experts across departments, both internally and externally.
  • Adhere to and reinforce Engineering processes.
  • Identify weaknesses in the production line or final products and recommend improvements.
  • Provide input for process development and coordinate design changes to address manufacturing challenges.
  • Support cross-functional teams in resolving manufacturing challenges.
  • Stay current with modern technologies, methods, and techniques.
  • Actively participate in and support continuous improvement projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; a master's degree is preferred.
  • 12 years of experience in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Design work, including E-Plan, SolidWorks 3D, and AutoCAD 2D.
  • Experience with Machine Vision systems, cameras, image processing, and AI usage in image processing and object recognition.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable communicating with all levels of management, external customers, and vendors.
  • Experience with design and development of control cabinets and commissioning of machines.
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors.
  • Expertise in electrical design with E-Plan or other design programs.
  • Knowledge of automation technology is a plus.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Excellent English language skills; proficiency in Romanian or German is appreciated.
