Job Description You will join a diverse, supportive community of engineers who are creating a next-generation auction marketplace and supporting services. You'll be instrumental in helping us to transition from a PHP/WordPress application and lead teams to create an event-based, microservices platform with front-ends built in ReactJS or NextJS. You will also get to work with native mobile applications for both iOS and Android and craft simple, elegant solutions to solve complex problems ResponsibilitiesThings we Look For:

  • Responsible for the complete delivery of projects from inception to completion in an iterative Agile environment.

  • You can logically break down complex features into smaller deliverables.
  • You write tests to improve the quality, modularity, and maintainability of your code
  • You understand and have experience with concurrency and asynchronous programming.
  • Solid experience in server-side programming in Node.js, Java, Go, Python, or similar languages - not tied to a specific language or framework, but able to quickly adapt and learn new skills.
  • Can optimize application performance, database queries, and asset manipulation.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience building web applications and services.
  • CS degree or equivalent real-world experience and knowledge of CS fundamentals.
  • Architecture certification preferred
  • Cloud-first development in Amazon AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Hands on experience with event-driven and microservice architectures
  • Deeply familiar with CI/CD and IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Eager to learn new languages and frameworks
  • Relational databases, non-relational databases, and data model expertise
  • Familiar with data lake, lake house, and warehouse strategies as well as ETL

The base salary for this role is between $163k and $196k. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
