The original facility opened in 1966 and was renovated to a state of the art, 90,000 square feet building in 2002. The school has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and as a Palmetto's Finest School. The school received an Average rating on the 2023 SC School Report Card. Mitchell Road is a Capturing Kids' Hearts school which focuses on strengthening students' connectedness to others while raising achievement to a higher level. In this environment, students learn responsibility, self-discipline, and respect for others. School Report Card Surveys consistently show high levels of parent and student satisfaction with the learning environment.The school has active participation through the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and School Improvement Council (SIC). Education and Experience Required: - A minimum earned Master's Degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field
- Valid South Carolina elementary or secondary principal's certificate
- Three to five years of teaching and administrative/supervisory experience
Building Level Administrative/Supervisory Salary Schedule (BUILDG) - 245 Days Grade A8 Range ($-89,523- $134,082) Placement on salary schedule includes several factors to include experience.
