We've got what you're looking for.Job Description:Parsons is looking for two amazingly talented Principal Project Managers - Transportation Infrastructure to support our Utah practice!Our Critical Infrastructure Business Unit provides planning, design, program management, and construction management to a wide range of infrastructure clients, mainly in North America. We're an industry leader in successfully delivering complex, challenging, and high-profile infrastructure projects across all project delivery models, including integrated delivery (public-private partnership, design-build, construction management at-risk) and traditional delivery.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Lead engineering design, analysis and planning projects and provide technical discipline support to other Discipline Leads and Project Managers.
  • Work with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.
  • Develop and manage the budget; oversee the profitability of the project. Responsible for project invoicing and billing including all accounts receivable and accounts payable. Oversee establishment of Project Management Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
  • Coordinate project backlog, schedules, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Lead/support (as appropriate) the development of the Critical Infrastructure portfolio as part of the Office Leadership Team.
  • Strategize and engage in hiring decisions to achieve organic growth. Identify and develop high-potential talent.
  • Participate in strategizing, storyboarding, writing, and reviewing proposals - become an integral part of the team's success.
  • Participate in BD strategy meetings as needed.
  • Participate in proposal writing, client meetings and client presentations.
  • Engage and serve in leadership positions within industry organizations, with specific subcommittee involvement at relevant Utah organizations.
  • Seek opportunities to make presentations or write articles. Encourage others in the team to do the same.
  • Maintain current knowledge of project pipeline for key clients.
  • Help to build the practice by networking, attracting early career Planners and Engineers and by helping develop members of the team.REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
    • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 15 years or more of transportation-related work experience.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Utah is required.
    • Experience interfacing with various Utah agencies.
    • Alternative delivery/design-build project experience is preferred.
    • Business Development experience.
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills.PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
      • Candidates must be willing to meet Parsons' project management certification requirements, have proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and have a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
      • Extensive experience working with UTAH DOT projects is highly preferred.
      • Technical proficiency in the preparation of Plans, Specifications & Estimate (PS&E) is desirable. Experience in management, design and support during construction of design-build projects is desired as well.Minimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/None.
