Looking for a lifetime career Apply today!Job DescriptionProduct Quality (PQ) in the Quality, Performance, and Improvement Department provides Supplier Oversight and Inspection Services for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). PQ is involved with a broad cross-section of the NNPP's production lines and interfaces with all parts of the Laboratory. PQ is responsible for maintaining the NNL Approved Supplier List which consists of several dozen vendors with various specialties located across the country. This position might require several days of travel per month. This position provides quality assurance related oversight, support, and consultation for technical engineering, design, analysis, and/or nuclear safety related work. Establishes and evaluates the implementation of the quality assurance program and communicates quality information and trends. Contributes to a broad cross-section of product lines and interfaces with all parts of the technical and support communities. Understands and is technically knowledgeable in multiple engineering disciplines. A Supplier Oversight Engineer's duties will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Performing Supplier Audits and/or Surveillances
  • Partner with various Technical Communities
  • Resolving Supplier Quality Deficiencies
  • Support Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) Audits
Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Currently or previously CRE qualified; or 6 years as SRE; or SRE qualified and 9 years of experience.Preferred Skills
  • Previous ISO 9000 auditor training or experience with performing supplier audits and surveillances is preferred.

Pay Range$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only.
