About the Company - My client is an early-stage cutting-edge diagnostic startup developing Rapid Diagnostics. They are focused on a new, rapid way of performing Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing(AST).

About the Role Principal Scientist- You must have Extensive, relatively current experience with AST.

Local people to RTP, NC preferred. They will consider relocation. This is NOT a REMOTE position.

They need a clinical Microbiologist who understands Nucleic Acid techniques to implement Assays, perform Assay Identification, and own the assay. MUST have susceptibility Assay experience.

Responsibilities - Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Microbiology or a related field with a focus on clinical microbiology.
• Board certification or eligibility as a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM), preferred.
• 3+ years of clinical or industry diagnostic experience after completing post-graduate medical training, including subspecialty medical training.
• Expertise in microbial pathogen identification and susceptibility testing methodologies.
