Akkodis is seeking a Principal Software Architect for a Direct Hire with a client in Jonesboro, AR. You will lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure, aligning them with organizational goals. Salary Range: $140k/hour to $180k/annum; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Principal Software Architect job responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Microsoft Azure cloud strategy aligned with the organization's goals.
- Design scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure.
- Create architectural blueprints and standards for cloud adoption, covering networking, storage, computing, security, and application deployment.
- Conduct research, technical analysis, and prototyping to address business challenges and support modernization efforts.
- Establish and enforce cloud governance best practices, ensuring with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the security team to implement robust security controls and manage risks associated with cloud environments.
- Optimize cloud costs and resource usage, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints to maximize ROI.
- Partner with development, data, and operations teams to support application migration and deployment efforts.
Desired Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a minimum of 3 years focused on Microsoft Azure solutions.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, are preferred.
- Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, ARM templates), scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python), and monitoring tools.
