Our Health & Life Sciences Solutions organization (HLS) is an interdisciplinary team of product managers, designers, engineers, and clinicians who are designing, developing and deploying next-generation healthcare solutions powered by the Microsoft Cloud for healthcare organizations around the world. We are looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer to the team. You will be an integral member of the Dax Core team within HLS Solutions that is working to empower clinicians and patients to achieve more by reducing their efforts and provide additional value with AI support introduced with minimum fricition into their daily workflows. Our team is working in a challenging environment, continuously learning and staying at the forefront of AI development - integrating AI solutions, not creating them from scratch. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.Required/Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, or othersOR equivalent experience.Proficient experience in designing, developing, and operating distributed systems and/or services in the cloud.Experience working with stakeholders.Previous experience working in the FedRamp space on FedRamp Moderate System (DOD IMpact level 4). Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate's citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.Preferred/Additional Qualifications:Ability to be on call and able to analyze issues on a FedRamp certified system.FedRAMP security clearanceUnderstanding of AI technologies / models and fundamentalsProven ability to tackle complex technical issues when running large scale cloud services.Experience with implementing, monitoring and operating software employing Gen AISoftware Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
