Principal Solutions Architect - Data and AI Category: Information Technology Job Location: 6361 Walker Lane, suite 1100, Alexandria, Virginia Tracking Code: CTO 4924-585 Position Type: Full-Time/Regular CALIBRE Systems Inc, an employee-owned management consultant and digital transformation company, is looking for a Principal Solutions Architect. The Principal Solutions Architect for Data and AI will play a key role in CALIBRE's Innovation Center, driving forward research and development initiatives while supporting business development. This role requires broad expertise in data analytics, data engineering, and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will work closely with technology partners, clients, and internal stakeholders to evaluate, test, and implement cutting-edge AI and data-driven solutions. As a subject matter expert, this individual will ensure that CALIBRE remains at the forefront of technological advancements in AI and data science, providing leadership and guidance across the enterprise. The Principal Solutions Architect will lead a data science team. Key Responsibilities: Solution Development: Leverage knowledge of AI, data analytics, and data engineering to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions tailored to client challenges. Technology Partner Collaboration: Work with CALIBRE's technology partners to evaluate, test, and integrate solutions from their product suites into CALIBRE's service offerings. Advisory Support: Act as a subject matter expert in data analytics, AI, and data science, providing expert guidance to internal teams (corporate staff, project managers) and end-clients. Stay Current on Industry Trends: Continuously research and stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in data analytics, AI, and data engineering to maintain a competitive edge. Technical Certifications: Obtain and/or maintain technical certifications relevant to key technology products, ensuring CALIBRE maintains industry-leading capabilities in AI and data science. Business Development: Support business development and capture efforts, including participating in client meetings, particularly with senior technology executives (up to C-Level). Contribute to proposal writing, ensuring that AI and data-driven solutions are effectively communicated to prospective clients. Assist in the creation of marketing materials and presentations to highlight CALIBRE's AI and data capabilities. Team Management: Lead a small team by providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure successful execution of research, development, business development, and client projects. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment by encouraging professional growth, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring that the team stays ahead of industry trends and technologies. Required Skills: Broad expertise in AI, data analytics, and data engineering. Familiarity with a wide array of data technologies (e.g., AWS, DataRobot, Microsoft, Python, Qlik, R, or similar technologies). Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to write clear, concise proposals and solutions for clients. Strategic thinking and the ability to innovate and solve complex client challenges. Certifications in relevant AI, data science, and cloud technologies are highly desirable (e.g., AWS data-related certifications, other technology certifications). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with government contracting or the government services market. Experience with Generative AI. Strong background in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations. Required Experience: 10+ years of combined experience in data analytics, data engineering, and artificial intelligence. Proven track record of developing and deploying data-driven solutions. 2+ years experience managing small teams. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field.
