AWS Billing is responsible for the largest cloud billing platform, processing quadrillions of usage data into millions of invoices that amount to billions of dollars globally every month. The new AWS Billing Core Product team is looking for a Principal Product Manager to be the pricing expert on our team who will play a pivotal role in defining and driving the worldwide pricing strategy for most of AWS, including both public and private pricing models designed to accelerate cloud adoption, simplify complex migrations, and transition customers financial planning from capex to opex.
Given the breadth of AWS Billing, this role will require coordination across many internal and external teams and will be visible at the highest levels of the company. You will have the opportunity to solve the top customer pain point for millions of diverse global customers ranging from startups to well-known Fortune 100 enterprises that prevent them from easily understanding their monthly bills by guiding hundreds of AWS services and thousands of external Channel Partners on their product and feature pricing. The new AWS Billing Core Product team aims to accelerate our customers and AWS growth by: (1) spearheading continuous multi-year billing product strategy definition across AWS billing organization, (2) owning innovation of billing-wide concepts (e.g. pricing, service-type billing, billing ease of use and consistency). Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
