PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION - As a Director of Technical Program Management, you will use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish
- You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners across the company
- Responsible for PI Planning - facilitates (together with R&D Operations team) the entire existing process of a Program Increment (PI) planning events, ensuring all teams effectively collaborate to set clear goals, define work items, and create a shared roadmap for the upcoming planning period, while also managing dependencies between teams and mitigating potential risks, all within the framework of an Agile methodology
- You are equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers
- Lead the strategic, technical, and program management of large, multi-functional R&D projects
- Apply your organizational, prioritization, communication and influencing skills to manage multiple concurrent complex interactions with geographically disparate remote teams
- Develop trusted technical and business partnerships across R&D teams and stakeholders to identify, assess, and resolve recurring challenges
- Manage risks, issues, and actions for internal customers, and track them regularly to meet the expected outcomes and timelines
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in Program Management
- PMP and/or SAFe certification preferred
- Fluent with Agile and Scrum principles and values.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of Scrum frameworks, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to coach teams on Scrum ceremonies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
