We are looking for a Principal Data Analyst with strong expertise and data skills to own and deliver our TV Intelligence measurement product worldwide. As a Principal Data Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating the TV data for correctness and completeness, developing measurement models and systems, prototyping ML algorithms leveraging and building Nexxen's data platform. You will apply your expertise to build data models and your understanding of statistical modeling to raise the bar on how Nexxen can deliver explainable measurement results from campaign performance based on TV viewership data. You will partner with the best technology solution providers at Nexxen and our data/technology partners to enable advertising measurement and optimization on our unique data and technology assets. You will consult with product, engineering, commercial/sales and operations to work on building applications that leverage data captured from disparate sources to draw econometric inferences using machine learning algorithms.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver in-depth analytics leveraging TV viewership and campaign data available on Nexxen's end-to-end platforms to deliver explainable measurement results for TV Intelligence products by designing, writing and maintaining data queries & scripts.
  • Design, deliver and own measurement solutions globally by researching existing measurement strategies, learning existing & new techniques and developing new methodologies/solutions based on data availability and client needs in new markets.
  • Build long-term measurement strategy & vision working closely with product and business teams to bring innovations to gain competitive advantage.
  • Work closely with business, product, engineering and operations teams to define requirements, evaluate feasibility, devise execution plans and timely delivery of quality outputs.
  • Continuously improve models, fine-tune data anomalies & enhance data visualizations when additional data sources are available and design mechanisms for customized measurement reporting as required.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the entire measurement workflow.
  • Partner with product and engineering leads to integrate and productize TVI measurement solutions by designing test cases, fine-tuning parameters and validating results.
  • Help strategize the measurement of product launches by helping the product/business to understand the data nuances.
  • What will you bring?

  • 7+ years of data analytics experience in adtech industry, out of which 3+ years of owning and developing measurement models.
  • Experience working with commercial and customers to identify key data problems to solve by diving deep to understand data issues.
  • Strong expertise with big-based products and languages.
  • SQL – able to write complex SQL queries, good understanding of relational databases, experience with Hadoop/Big data infrastructure and is able to optimize queries to improve performance & timeliness of deliveries.
  • R – able to understand and make necessary adjustments to sophisticated R scripts.
  • Tableau – proficient with data visualization and best practices in Tableau, able to build polished dashboards with complex underlying architecture. Comfortable with advanced formatting and customized views.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can understand new data schema, isolate and investigate data anomalies, trouble-shoot complicated calculations.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and can present results effectively, explain details in methodology and give insightful responses to questions.
  • Excellent team player who can collaborate with and support product and engineering team members, prioritize tasks and manage delivery timelines based on the overall success of the team.
  • Advanced knowledge of all aspects of the software product development lifecycle for SaaS-based services.
  • Additional skills:

  • Familiar with data analysis packages in Python (pandas, json, csv etc) and comfortable with writing new scripts from scratch.
  • Good understanding of how machine learning models are trained and applied in various applications, especially within adtech industry.
  • Providing thought leadership by establishing underlying linkage between different information sources that may not be apparent on the surface, provide long-term strategic goals & data-driven insights in campaign measurements.
  • Actively exploring new ideas and broadening Nexxen's measurement solutions.
  • In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in New York is $160,000 - $185,000 at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
