Role Title: Principle Software Engineer

Role Location: Hybrid
Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Director of Software Engineering.
Role Summary and Responsibilities: We are seeking a Principle Software Engineer to ensure that the product vision is realized through excellence in execution. As a key member of the engineering organization and product development leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape our team's practices and culture. We are looking for a candidate that possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and is excited by the challenges that come along with building a category creating HealthTech solution.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions: - Mentor the Software Engineer to grow their technical skills on EMR/EHR data interchange design and implementation.
- Use cloud-native infrastructure and modern software engineering and development methodologies.
- Share ideas freely to keep our software and processes accessible, scalable, secure, and sustainable.
- Iterate frequently on our software and our processes to enhance outcomes for ourselves, our patients, our partners, and our users.
- Experiment with emerging technologies to accommodate the expanding scope of this ambitious project.
- Celebrate each other's successes.
- Use Python, pySpark, dbt, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AWS technologies such as Lambda, CDK / CloudFormation, Glue, Data Lake, RDS, queues, sns, and Snowflake.
- Solicits and incorporates design and feature feedback from users in small, short iterations.
- Participates in the code's complete lifecycle, from feature design to production support.
- Adheres to data security and confidentiality protocols and procedures.
- Communicates politely, clearly, and precisely.
- Seeks to simplify code, systems, and processes.
- Meet in person with internal and/or external stakeholders to facilitate team and business priorities/opportunities.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5 years' experience in healthcare/technology related field.
- 4 years' experience working with at least 4 EMR/EHR systems and an understanding of the healthcare clinical domain.
- 4 years' experience with processing HL7 messages, CCD documents, and EDI X12 Claims files.
- 4 years' experience with various modern languages such as Python, Java, Scala, Go, C#, JavaScript, etc.
- 5 years' experience designing and implementing software, test-driven development, cloud technologies, and container technologies.
- Business travel.
