Print Production Coordinator
The Print Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the production of printed materials for marketing, advertising, packaging, and other purposes. They manage vendor relationships, handle timelines, ensure quality control, and communicate with internal teams to meet project requirements and deadlines. This position is responsible for managing job assignments from purchase order through manufacturing until ready for final billing.
Vendor management:• Source and maintain relationships with print vendors, negotiate pricing, and ensure quality standards are met.• Submit orders.Scheduling:• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of materials while managing production timelines.• Traffic jobs within internal departments.Cost estimation:• Prepare and review cost estimates for production jobs, ensuring the project stays within budget.• Maintain pricing details and records.Proofing and quality control:• Work with design team to ensure final files meet print requirements.• Review print proofs for accuracy, color matching and overall quality before final production.• Address concerns with turn times, shipping, and damaged products.Inventory management:• Oversee inventory levels as needed.Communication, troubleshooting, documentation:• Work with internal teams and external clients to understand production requirements and provide updates on project progress.• Address production issues, such as print errors or delays, and provide solutions to ensure project continuity.• Maintain accurate records of project details, including specifications, pricing, timelines and revisions.
Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications as a Print Coordinator will be a plus.• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Preferred Skills:• Familiarity with office management systems and procedures.• 2+ years of experience in print production, project coordination, or a related role.• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, project management or account management• Knowledge of printing techniques and industry trends.• Project management experience.
Physical and Other Requirements:• Job tasks are performed in close proximity to other people and, when entering the adjacent manufacturing plant, the employee will be exposed to a warehouse environment and must be able to adhere to required safety measures. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, walk and bend. The employee must frequently sit, talk, listen, and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
