JOB SUMMARY:This position supports the University Land Grant Mission by assisting the Printshop manager with copying, binding, sorting printed materials, producing vinyl signs, posters and other related print material. The candidate should have a background in using Adobe and Microsoft Office products and possess layout and design skills.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Prints flyers, brochures, pamphlets and reports for the FVSU Land Grant Programs.* Complete layouts and designs for posters and banners using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.* Operates binding, cutting and copier machines.* Maintains printing equipment by fixing printing errors, paper jams and replacing toner cartridges.* Inspects and verifies completed projects meet FVSU quality standards.* Monitors all printing systems to insure appropriate and safety procedures are followed as required by operation manuals.* Maintains inventory of paper, bindery supplies, toner and other consumables.* Excellent customer service, especially greeting customers and having the ability to discern their printing needs.* Other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
