THE PRINT PRODUCTION SPECIALIST exhibits diligent teamwork while operating the store's print center for graphic design and onsite production. He or she will efficiently work with customers to create, schedule, and produce their print products in a friendly, genuinely helpful demeanor and professional appearance.In addition, he or she contributes to the operations of the overall center by packing and processing shipments for local, national, and international delivery using a variety of carriers. In addition, he or she operates multi-function machines including integrated copiers, scanners, fax machines, binding equipment, lamination machines, and cash registers, among other daily responsibilities. - Understands and fulfills the graphic design/print production needs of walk-in customers and those initiated via telephone/email inquiries
- Completes tasks independently in an often quick-turn-around environment
- Understands color management and applies file adjustments for print production onsite/offsite.
- Follows and understands print industry quality output guidelines
- Effectively interprets a variety of instructions provided in written or verbal form and provides internal team and the customer with realistic deliverable expectations
- Brainstorms and mocks up design ideas
- Confidently presents concepts or ideas to clients with project cost options
- Meets with clients and adjusts designs to fit their needs or taste
- Reads and understands ALL job requirements before beginning the project and allocating any resources
- Manages in-house store production schedule
- Collaboratively orders production materials
- Operates and maintains print and finishing equipment
- Maintains strong attention to detail when proofing all materials
- Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership

- Packs and ships packages for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom box solutions, and properly cushioning contents
- Manages the logistics of small to medium projects, follows through to completion, and updates all parties as needed
- Produces/designs, proofs, and updates materials for print projects using Adobe and Microsoft Suites for both Mac and PC
- Operates all equipment, software, and devices expertly and is willing to teach others
- Prioritizes and optimizes the workload to streamline the production flow
- Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high-quality control
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Takes action to learn new products, services, alternative solutions, and industry trends as well as occasionally reviewing/retraining on lesser-used services
- May open and/or close the store as assigned
- Performs other center duties as assigned to ensure all customers are assisted when not working on print production projects
