Job Details

This client is open to candidates who don't have the Quality piece, but MUST come from the Printing Industry and willing and wanting to grow into a Quality Technician.

Hours: 6AM-2:30PM.

Print Quality Technician Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

Support and assist Operations team.

Quality Assurance Press Check, Seaming Check and Flexible Packaging Check signed at the beginning of each job.

Random checks for above functions per forms to ensure product meets requirements throughout production.

Understand all production materials and paperwork.

Operate and understand all quality testing equipment.

Make folding standards, flat standards and sample labels for the customer.

Help Maintain customer standards in both the lab and Account Management area.

Notify Quality Manager/Operations if there are any issues preventing the sign-off from taking place.

Report any issues or hazards to managers and supervisors.

Work a reasonable amount of overtime, including Saturday's, when production warrants it.

Performs other job duties as assigned.

Print Quality Technician Job Requirements

1-2 years' experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing facility.

Flexible Packaging and press experience required.

Excellent written/verbal communications skills and strong technology proficiency.

Industry certification a plus. SQF, 1 year (preferred)

Must be proficient in using metric and standard measuring devices.

Ability to remain poised under difficult/stressful circumstances.

Understands the importance of confidentiality.

Work well with management and operations.

Make recommendations for process improvements according to procedures.

Attendance and punctuality are a must. Quality Assurance is vital for verifying all finished goods and quality standards are upheld.

A basic understanding of common Quality Systems and problem-solving tools.

Computer and data entry skills required. Microsoft Outlook knowledge required.

Understand and use the X-Rite Color Management System.

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.

Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
