Full Job DescriptionOur client is looking for a Print Textile Designer. This role will be primarily focused on print design for the apparel line, with additional contributions to the home collection, which has two major launches each year. You will work independently in a small team environment, hitting the ground running and bringing your unique design aesthetic to life.Key responsibilitiesPrint Design: Create original prints and patterns, developing designs that reflect a classic yet modern aesthetic Technical Skills: Utilize Photoshop and Illustrator to produce technical repeats, colorways, and mockups. Knowledge of InDesign or Canva is a plus for creating presentation decks. Art Development: Generate original artwork or photographs, ensuring designs align with brand standards. Ability to hand-paint or manually create prints is essential. Color Options: Recolor existing prints and provide multiple color variations based on current design trends. Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with manufacturers and keep track of project timelines and deliverables. Organization: Manage an extensive design archive and maintain organized files and library resources. Self-Starter: Work independently, proactively managing tasks and projects without micromanagement.Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in textile or print design Fashion background highly preferred Strong design and color aesthetic Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator; experience in creating technical repeats and colorways. Familiarity with contemporary fashion brands and design trends. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
