Job SummaryThe Printing Operatorperforms the efficient processing and printing of livestock industrial tagsusing laser ink jet machines. The duties are performed under thedirection of a department lead.
Duties andResponsibilities- Perform multiple tasks with relevant print technology and equipment within an assigned shift according to the daily job schedule.
- Perform proper machine start-up and shut down, operates machines as required, documents and reports equipment issues immediately to Shift Lead.
- Utilize data entry skills with Word and Excel to perform daily tasks.
- Check and verify printed output against sample, ensure quality of work being produced.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Shift Lead or Printing Manager.
- Troubleshoot job problems or failures and seek assistance as needed.
- Complete Job Tracking Logs, Production Logs, and other required paperwork.
- Communicate any issues that impact normal processing schedules to the Shift Lead and/or Printing Manager.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the preventive maintenance (P.M.) charts.
- Moves inventory to and from staging areas
- Accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine set-up.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Engage with all employees in a positive and respectful manner.
- Consistent attendance and adherence to shift requirements.
Required Education andExperience- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of consecutive work experience.
- One year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
- Proficient in basic data entry skills; Excel experience preferred.
