Utilization of high-volume copiers, color copiers, wideformat printer, 2 color press, envelope offset press, copiers, related print shop equipment. Assists with finishing / bindery work, deliveries.Essential Functions1. Finishes jobs using various finishing equipment including but not limited to: heavy-duty paper cutter, stapler, collator, folder, jogger, hole punch and padder.2. Utilizes networked printers, scanners, and wide format printer to complete orders.3. Utilizes Adobe suite to make minor edits to existing files.4. Deliver completed work to various County and Municipal offices with or without a County Vehicle.5. Maintains and troubleshoots print shop equipment.6. Utilizes a 2-color press and envelope jet press.7. Utilizes a Thermal inkjet variable data printer.8. Utilizes a mail inserter, with mailing software - Bulk Mailer & Flex Mail.9. Utilizes Excel to format mailing list.10. Stays up to date on USPS regulations.Marginal Functions11. Answers questions or phone calls.12. Responds to inquiries from County and Municipal personnel.13. Performs other duties as assigned.Essential Qualifications* The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent as well as two years of experience in print shop. Also required is two years of experience in desktop PC production of print-ready materials.* Ability to communicate verbally and written clearly in English.* Strong customer-service skills.* Ability to operate a networked high-volume photocopier, networked color copier, and networked scanner/printer as well as to operate the operation of various finishing and Mailing equipment.* Ability to operate 2 color press and envelope press.* Ability to maintain and repair offset print equipment.* Ability to learn operation of mailing / inserting equipment.* Experience in MS Office Suite, Photoshop and Adobe Suite of programs.* Valid New Jersey Driver's License with acceptable driving record as per County PolicyPreferred Qualifications* Printing or piece-work experience.* Keen interest in printing operations and printing technologies.* An understanding of Somerset County Government and the operations of the individual Departments and Divisions therein.* Knowledge of County policy and procedures.
