A Stock Handler in the Printing Department is responsible for managing and moving materials, supplies, and finished products within the printing area. Duties include organizing stock, preparing materials for printing, replenishing supplies, and tracking inventory levels. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to lift and transport heavy items, and familiarity with inventory and printing processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Material handling utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks
- Operating a Load Turning machine
- Performing quality checks
- General plant clean-up
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- Willingness to work 2nd shift (2pm-10pm Monday - Friday) or 3rd shift (10pm-6am Sunday - Thursday) with some overtime/weekend work
- (Training could be on 1st shift Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm, however, after training hires main shift would either be 2nd or 3rd shift.)
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus, but no experience required
- This position requires proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the language efficiently
