About Accel-KKR Credit Partners AKKR Credit Partners was founded in 2017 and is focused on direct lending to middle market technology companies that are either founder-owned and bootstrapped, private equity backed, or public. Opportunistically, the fund also invests in the secondary market, broadly syndicated deals, or participations in debt supporting AKKR buy-outs. Private Credit Associate Role The ideal candidate has strong credit fundamentals and is knowledgeable about investing in software companies with recurring revenue streams. The Credit Fund is looking for a candidate with an intrapreneurial spirit that can wear multiple hats including portfolio management, underwriting, sourcing, and operations. Key responsibilities include: I. Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of 8-10 credit investments Monitor borrower reporting requirements and deadlines Spread financial statements and spot trends and validate and monitor covenants Update reports for the funds quarterly portfolio reviews Lead regular calls and schedule annual visits with the management teams of the borrower Run amendment, waiver, extension, and modification processes Work with our internal operations team and third-party loan administrator to ensure loans are accurately setup, tracked, and invoiced II. Underwriting: Assist in underwriting new opportunities Participate/lead prospect meetings Assist in financial modeling and narrative for internal investment committee memos Participate in internal investment committee meetings Perform loan closing procedures III. Sourcing: Assist in database and pipeline management Routine and timely entries into CRM platform Update weekly pipeline report IV. Leverage: Assist in keeping all leverage reporting up to date Populate borrowing base with portfolio financials Provide portfolio value adjustment event justifications Assist in data gathering information for annual audit and static report V. Operational/Administrative: Assist in various operational tasks Assist in producing annual LP meeting and fundraising materials Conduct annual loan valuation updates in conjunction with third-party auditors Core Competencies / Technical Skills: Analytical skills & decision making Strong multi-tasking capabilities Communication and interpersonal relationship management Teamwork and collaboration Solid credit fundamentals with ability to provide accurate and thorough analysis of credit risk Familiarity with senior secured loan documents Ability to build repeatable processes that improve portfolio monitoring Intermediate to advanced writing, PowerPoint and financial modeling in Excel Superior organizational and time management skills Good communication skills and attention to detail Self-motivator and ability to execute with little oversight Qualifications: BS/BA Degree U.S. citizen or permanent resident status Ability to work in one of the locations listed below : Menlo Park, CA Atlanta, GA Compensation : $125K-175K/ year (Does not include annual performance bonus or other compensation benefits)
