About the Role:

Our client, a multi-billion dollar investment platform, is seeking an Associate or VP to join its lean, high-performing private credit team. The team manages investments across the capital structure, with a focus on private credit, direct lending, structured credit, and real estate. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and flexible investment professional to work on a collaborative team where every member's contribution is valued and visible. The role requires a dynamic candidate who is both comfortable working up and down the capital stack and has experience investing in private credit or structured credit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investment Analysis: Conduct in-depth credit analysis and due diligence on prospective investments across diverse asset classes, including private credit, structured credit, and real estate.
  • Transaction Execution: Support or lead various aspects of transaction processes, including deal structuring, financial modeling, and preparation of investment committee presentations.
  • Portfolio Management: Assist in monitoring and managing portfolio assets, performing regular assessments of investment performance, credit risk, and potential exit strategies.
  • Market and Sector Research: Stay abreast of market trends and perform sector-specific research to support the team's investment theses.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with team members across functions and participate in regular portfolio review meetings to ensure holistic portfolio oversight.

Qualifications:

  • 2-8 years of relevant experience in private credit, structured credit, direct lending, or investment banking, with a strong foundation in credit analysis.
  • Proven financial modeling skills, including experience with debt structures and familiarity with cash flow and risk modeling.
  • A team-oriented approach with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle a diverse set of responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a lean team structure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information concisely to senior stakeholders.
