Homestead Health Care is hiring for Private Duty caregivers in the surrounding area of Dearborn, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Use of transfer assistive devices, including but not limited to Hoyer lifts, sit to stand, gait belts and slide board
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and walking
  • Evaluate changes in client's health, conferring with other healthcare team members as needed
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
  • Use and cleaning of devices such as catheters, colostomy bags and oxygen supplies
  • Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
  • Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities
  • Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
  • Transport client to doctors' appointments or shopping
  • Complete all required documents and charting
  • Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals
  • Provide companionship for the client
  • Follow all Homestead policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
  • Experience passing medications
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Valid Driver License/Insurance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • Travel Max of 25miles
  • Weekend Availability
