OVERVIEW:
Our client is an emerging growth equity GP executing control growth equity investments in companies providing B2B SaaS offerings and is in process of closing Fund III.
SENIOR ASSOCIATE:
The Senior Associate will play a critical role in executing platform investments and will be a key member of an eight-person team. This Senior Associate role will be expected to make meaningful contributions on a lean deals team and contribute to building and scaling a control growth equity private equity fund. The team is aiming for an immediate start but is willing to wait for a Jan/Feb 2025 start date.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage due diligence and deal closing process, including industry analysis, primary research, and preparation of documents
- Identify, evaluate, and execute new opportunities
- Monitor portfolio companies and lead the execution of projects and strategic initiatives
- Critically analyze and form views on various investment theses
- Work with senior-level executives in a fast-paced environment, sometimes with limited guidance and oversight
- Support limited partners via reporting, communications, and presentation activities
- Guide and mentor junior teammates and manage their deal execution workstreams
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in mid-market sell-side M&A and control growth investing or SaaS corporate development
- Experience in software or tech-enabled services is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial and motivated with a strong work ethic
- Outstanding communications skills (writing, speaking, presenting)
- Deep-rooted interest in investing and learning
