Private Pay BillerFull Time Days | 8am-4:30pm (flexible) | Monday-Friday*** $19-$22/hr based on experience***Department: Finance We seek caring team members willing and able to commit to Our Values: Compassion, Attitude of Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Nurturing and Giving. The Private Pay Biller supports our mission and values by managing accounts receivable follow up to create positive cash flow and exceed highest practical industry standards. The Private Pay Biller primary responsibilities will include:
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Commercial Insurance.
  • Cash Posting.
  • Working with Long Term Care Insurance claims and companies.
  • All aspects of private pay billing; from charges to statements.
  • Manage census for Assisted Living and Independent Living.
  • Following up on unresolved claims from the Aging reports.
  • Manage Security Deposits.
  • Monthly Closing.
  • Back up for insurance verifications.
  • Miscellaneous reports to CFO.
  • Take appropriate actions to resolve issues in a way that results in payment and/or complete closure of insurance balance in a timely manner.
  • Organized and detailed, efficient, and accurate in work performance.
  • Possess and display excellent customer service skills and proper communication skills.
  • Assist in the completion of reports for audits, surveys, etc.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident information.
  • Must attend training to maintain a basic knowledge of current billing guidelines, including additional payer types.
What is required in this position?
  • Must have completed High School or equivalent education.
  • Prior experience with healthcare billing required. Skilled Nursing billing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, etc.
  • Must be able to operate a copy/fax machine, telephone, and adding machine, etc, in such a manner as to complete the assignments given.
