A financial services firm located in New York City is actively seeking a team-oriented and driven professional to join their staff as their new Real Estate Product Support Associate. In this role, the Real Estate Product Support Associate will be responsible for assisting in the management of data as it pertains to real estate investments. Responsibilities The Real Estate Product Support Associate will:
- Provide end-to-end support for the Real Estate Fund complex
- Architect technology specifications to assist in the capture of deal-level data, both from internal sources and external sources (Asset Servicers, etc.) and work with various stakeholders to understand delivery requirements
- Review investment memos, and, as needed high-level review of valuation models, to understand key data points, for use in pipeline and fund-level reporting
- Liaise with the various FOMO teams to understand data requirements and work with Legal and Asset Management teams to integrate those requirements into SLA's with service providers
- Assist in providing KPI's to external investors on at least a quarterly basis
- Liaise with the firm's offshore (India) co-sourcing team to ensure that deal covenants are tracked and maintained appropriately, with all necessary controls being followed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting/Finance or similar field
- 3+ years of experience in Real Estate
- 3-7+ years of relevant experience in Transaction Services from a Big Four, Product Control from a bank, or other similar experience (i.e. Asset Management, PC) from another buy-side firm
- Familiarity with valuation and accounting concepts
- Commercially minded, as this individual will need to bridge the gap between an investment's underlying thesis and the data associated with proving and understanding that thesis
