Description of the role:Village Caregiving - Bowling Green is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Lewisburg, Kentucky. As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care and support to our clients on an as-needed basis. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and promote the well-being of our patients.Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, conducting assessments, and implementing care plans
  • Monitor and document patient progress to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Assist in educating patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Requirements:
  • Valid RN license in the state of Kentucky
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities
  • Visit patients in their homes for one-on-one visits
  • Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs of home health patients
  • Assess patients' conditions and chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review
  • Administer medication as prescribed by the patient's physician
  • Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures, and make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient's quality of life
  • Provide effective communication to patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's School of Nursing, or vocational nursing
  • Current state license as an RN
  • Proof of current CPR certification
  • Compassionate, friendly demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
