A warm and active family of three in Roslyn Heights is looking for a dependable and proactive Family Assistant to join their household. The family has a 3-year-old son who attends school until 4 pm each day. This role will focus on family support, light housekeeping, and after-school childcare. Responsibilities: Household Support (Before 4 pm):
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to keep the home tidy and organized (e.g., tidying up common areas, wiping surfaces, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and organizing toys or closets).
- Handle laundry for the family, including washing, folding, and putting away clothing and linens.
- Run occasional errands such as picking up small items or handling returns, though the family uses a grocery delivery service for main shopping.
- Assist in meal prep or chopping ingredients for simple dinners (family meals will follow a Kosher diet, so experience is a plus but willingness to learn is welcomed).
Childcare (After 4 pm):
- Pick up the family's 3-year-old from school and bring him to any scheduled activities or back home for dinner.
- Spend quality time engaging him in fun activities, either at home or around town (e.g., park trips, library visits, or picking up a snack).
- Help prepare and serve simple meals for the child and family, adhering to their Kosher dietary guidelines.
Additional Details: A dedicated housekeeper will visit the home 1-2 days per week to handle deep cleaning and larger tasks, so your focus will be on maintaining day-to-day order and helping the household run smoothly.
